Overview
Stepcase Darkroom App for iPhone gives you extra abilities to take photos. It comes with two favors – Darkroom and Darkroom Premium. Compared to the standard Darkroom version, Darkroom Premium has a number of extra modes that help you take photos from your iPhone camera.
Getting Started
When you open up Darkroom, frame your photo and then touch the camera icon. A progress bar will come up. Please hold the iPhone as steady as possible and wait for the progress bar to fill up. The bar will be filled once Darkroom has determined the iPhone is steady enough to take a sharp photo. When it does, Darkroom will take the photo. Please wait for the photo to be saved.
Modes
Steady mode: Once you press the “shutter” button, Darkroom will automatically take the photo when your hand is stable. Your photo will be saved into your Camera Roll and ready for your next shot. Compared to other camera applications, Darkroom prevents accidental movement caused by pressing the shutter, hence suitable for low-light environment (as a night camera) and unsteady hands. In the Pro version, you can also adjust the sensitivity of the steady mode. You can choose from a Low, Medium or High setting. You can also turn off Steady Mode as well.
Timer mode (Pro version only): Now you can set a timer to countdown and take your photos automatically. To take a clearer photo, try to set a timer and put your iPhone on something stable. You can also use this mode to take group photos with your friends.
Fullscreen Shutter mode (Pro version only): When you activate this mode, the whole camera viewport is your shutter button. To take a clearer photo even without the steady mode, simply touch the any part of the screen to take a shot while holding the top and bottom of your iPhone with the other hand. Additionally, you can use this mode to take self-portrait easily when the screen is turned away from you.
Online Features (Pro version only)
You can now upload your photos online to Stepcase. You will first need to create a Stepcase account, you can do so by going into the Settings panel. Begin by disabling the Auto-Save feature then take your photo. After you have taken your photo, you will be prompted to Save, Upload or Retake it. Choose Upload and your photo will then upload to your online account. Auto-Save feature will only save your photo to your Camera Roll and will not be uploaded to your account.
You can fine tune and customize all these modes easily! It is a beautiful and handy app.
