Company History

Leon Ho founded lifehack.org in May, 2005, as a place to share little tips and tricks—hacks—that he and others had discovered to make their workflow smoother, quicker, and better. By the end of the year, lifehack.org had become one of the Web’s most popular personal productivity sites.

By 2007, lifehack.org had grown far beyond Leon’s original vision. He began expanding it by adding new contributors, and soon the site enjoyed over a million unique visits a month. Today, lifehack.org is a Technorati Top 100 blog with over 80,000 subscribers.

After honing his vision of personal productivity at lifehack, org, Leon shifted to the next piece of the productivity puzzle—the tools that teams and individuals need to get work done more efficiently. In June 2007, he left his full-time job and moved to Hong Kong to launch Stepcase Ltd, which was incorporated in September, 2007.

In 2008, Stepcase realized the opportunity with Apple’s iPhone and the iTunes App Store and began development to explore the popular mobile platform. Since then, Stepcase has developed four iPhone applications and continues to develop various types of photography apps for the iPhone.
